last days of dunedin: tunnel beach, moeraki boulders..a bittersweet goodbye.

well i leave dunedin tomorrow :( but i must say ive gotten to see some amazing places in the last few days.

my friends casey b, casey d, caitlin and i went to tunnel beach the other day and did a shoot for my friend oskar pedersens tshirt company. it was such a nice day that we went swimming. the pictures can do enough describing of their own of how absolutely amazing this place is.

tunnel beach. just amazing.

me, casey and caitlin with the tee

my father taught me well..

there are people down there believe it or not...right in the middle by the rocks

american love.

then today we went to the moeraki boulders at koekohe beach in waitaki--about 50 minutes from dunedin. these as well were a sight worth seeing.

"The Moeraki Boulders are a number of huge spherical stones, found strewn along a stretch of Koekohe Beach near Moeraki, a small settlement just south of Hampden on New Zealand's Otago coast. These boulders are grey-coloured septarian concretions which have been exposed through shoreline erosion from black mudstone coastal cliffs that back the beach. They originally formed in ancient sea floor sediments during the early Paleocene some 60 million years ago.

The boulders weigh several tonnes and are up to three metres in diametre."

i am still confused how there can be palm trees growing less then 3 hours from snowboarding..

a few nights ago though, we had the most epic girls night. lets sum it up by saying: flofts, the cook, south bar, bath street, metro, parking garage, ezras. i got home at 830am still goin strong and hadnt slept yet..

me, emma from england, caitlin from utah, alex from oregon and casey from mass

ohh monkey bar.

metro..oh how i love these girls.

well...that is all for now. my new zealand adventure is nearly complete, but the memories will live forever. as i look forward at all the amazing times to come...i smile back on all the incredible moments already past and that will always be locked in my heart.
