Kelli Redes: snowpark birthday

this past weekend was my 22nd birthday!

i didnt want to go out the eve of my bday cuz i had to get up about 5am the next day, but when you have a flatmate from finland..there is no exceptions allowed; i was forced to go out! i ended up having the time of my life...this is one of those nights where what happens in nz stays in nz. i have some pictures of a lovely maori lick (from paula) and some pics with the police, and of course we rocked out to bomfunk mc's freestyler at metro in true scandinavian fashion...but since my hd bit the dust i cant upload those right now :(

anyway, the next day we went up to queenstown and the weather was so bad all the mountains were closed..so much for riding on my birthday. howeverrr, the next day it was still my birthday in the states and so therefore, i technically did get to snowboard on my birthday.

my friend gabby and i hitchiked up to snowpark from the base; she got a ride up with some korean kids and i rode up with these 2 aussies in the back of their camper.

they ended up being pretty chill kids and brought us down at the end of the day. at snowpark there was about 20 kids total, which was actually really fun cuz there was no pressure, no lines..and actually some pow to still hit. oh yeah and they blast music all day-at one point it was the entire ratatat remix cd..such a mellow and chilled out vibe, i loved it. i had a great day--finally got front boards down and landed back 3s consistently off the "big" jumps. (their big line wasnt set up so it was prly no bigger then 25 feet) yeah so check out the pics..it was a fun birthday of sun and shred!
